Another year. It sounds so futurey.

I am the same person I was last year but this year is new.
Maybe I will speak with a puppet voice
when I am alone in the morning
or wear new lenses in my glasses
and not tell anyone, not even you.
Or maybe I will throw a new canvas on the lawn
just to see if you will create something cool,
something that might remind me that this year is new,
that I might remember to grow and maybe you too.
